Used traction batteries

On an electric machine the traction battery is often the most expensive component, and a worn one no longer lasts a full shift. When replacing it, check the voltage (24, 48 or 80 volt), the capacity in ampere hours and above all the tray dimensions and weight, because on many forklifts the battery doubles as counterweight and has to fit the tray exactly. On a used battery the year, the number of charging cycles and the condition of the cells decide its value, and the charger has to match the cell technology.
